Effective October 7, 2026. Last updated October 8, 2026.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By using mydatacenterstory.org, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you submit a story, the Submission Terms and Release also apply to that submission, and if the two conflict on anything about your submission, the Submission Terms and Release control. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle information and is part of these terms.

2. Who may use the site

Anyone may read the site. You must be 18 or older to submit a story, a photograph, or a video.

3. What you may not do

  • Submit anything defamatory, threatening, harassing, obscene, or unlawful.

  • Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent who you are or where you live.

  • Submit someone else's personal information, including phone numbers, addresses, or images of identifiable people who have not agreed to it.

  • Submit commercial solicitation or spam.

  • Scrape, harvest, or automatically collect submissions or contact information from the site.

  • Interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or attempt to access parts of it that are not public.

  • Upload malicious code.

4. Stories on this site are personal accounts

The stories published here are firsthand accounts submitted by members of the public describing their own experiences. They are not investigative findings, expert conclusions, or verified claims about any company, utility, or facility. The Campaign reviews submissions before publication but does not independently verify every account, and publication is not an endorsement of any factual assertion in it.

If you believe something published here is inaccurate or unfair to you or your organization, email stories@mydatacenterstory.org and we will review it.

5. Moderation and removal

We review submissions before they appear. We may decline to publish, edit for length and clarity, or remove anything at any time, for any reason, including that we cannot verify it, that it identifies a third party unfairly, or that it violates Section 3. We are not obligated to publish anything.

6. Our content

The design, text, graphics, and code of this site are owned by Lucas for Senate - Louise. Published stories belong to the people who wrote them.

You may quote, link to, and share material from this site for news reporting, commentary, education, advocacy, and legislative purposes, with attribution. You may not republish the site wholesale, use it commercially, or present submitters' stories as your own.

7. Copyright complaints

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice to [DMCA AGENT NAME AND CONTACT] including: your signature, physical or electronic; identification of the work you say is infringed; identification of the material on this site and enough information for us to find it; your contact information; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.

If we remove material in response, we will notify the person who submitted it, and they may send a counter-notice.

8. Links to other sites

This site links to news coverage, government records, and other organizations. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

9. No warranty

THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED AS IS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LUCAS FOR SENATE - LOUISE AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR FROM ANYTHING PUBLISHED ON IT. THIS DOES NOT LIMIT LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER VIRGINIA LAW, INCLUDING FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR INTENTIONAL MISCONDUCT.

11. Indemnification

If you submit something and a third party brings a claim because of it, you agree to be responsible for that claim to the extent it arises from your breach of the promises you made in Section 9 of the Submission Terms and Release, such as submitting material you did not have the right to submit.

12. Suspending access

We may restrict or block access to anyone who violates these terms.

13. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Virginia.
